摘要: The Arab Spring was characterized by protests demanding regime change, representing a shift from more conciliatory demands before 2011. Protests that demand may be likely to attain it, but could also provoke governments into punitive responses. This article seeks explain why protest groups call for change. Calls change are less established opposition groups, whose members not able hone grievances particular policies. Whereas have vested interest in moderating supporters views and the regimes fall.
