摘要: Abstract Biomaterial is defined as a substance other than drug, which developed whole or part of complex system, that interacts with the living organisms, and functions for therapeutic diagnostic purposes. They are widely used in clinics surgery applications to repair damaged tissue. Orthopedics diseases, cardiovascular general reconstructive procedures dominate category disciplines medicine, where biomaterials occasionally used. Besides, have been dental procedures, ocular urological wound healing therapies. The term biocompatibility, defines ability material perform its function specific application an acceptable host response, has cornerstone investigations biomaterial researches. It refers interaction between systems, related harm organism. In words, biocompatibility reflects set characteristics use safely Briefly, there three major biological responses need be considered assessment including inflammation, healing, immunological reactions and/or immunity. Biocompatibility involves various methods vitro vivo experiments, standardized by organizations such American Society Testing Materials, British Standards Institute, International Food Drug Agency.
