摘要: DNA fragments that show retarded electrophoretic mobility through poly aery lamide gels have been found in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes1–7. In the case of kinetoplast DNA, evidence has presented is curved or ‘bent’8,9. Bent previously at λ simian virus 40 (SV40) replication origins6,7. Here we existence bent a yeast autonomously replicating sequence (ARS1), putative origin. The localized to 40–55 base pair (bp) segment contains six (A)3–5 stretches (that is, poly(A) stretches, three five nucleotides length) phased approximately every 10.5 bp. This region binding site for protein factor. lies 3′ end TRP1 gene, devoid nucleosomes, positioned 80 bp away from ARS consensus sequence; removal this impairs function vivo. may be involved transcription termination prevention nucleosome assembly region.
