摘要: The healthy worker effect (HWE) is a well-known phenomenon. In this study we used the extensive registration of all Danish citizens to describe magnitude HWE among electricians and evaluated strategies for minimizing bias association between occupation mortality. All male aged 26-56 years in period 1984-1992 were followed three several registers. We because they unexposed detrimental occupational exposures. compared reference groups (general population, construction industry carpenters/brick layers) utilized analytical methods (lag time analyses, age-stratified marginal structural model restriction employed, newly employed or long-term workers). mortality rate was higher electricians, who year following active employment received incapacity benefits on sick leave. Electricians receiving benefits, leave, unemployed, with increased comorbidity index had lower odds re-employment. (rate ratio,0.60;95%CI,0.52-0.69) general while leaving (1.90;1.50-2.40). Adjusting social events slightly attenuated estimates, did not minimize bias. same as layers. Mortality comparable population after more lag time. nationwide study, marked Appropriate selection analyses minimized
