摘要: The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and economic efficiency a systemic treatment toxic puerperal metritis in dairy cows with ceftiofur. Cows abnormal vaginal discharge at postpartum examination (d 4 6 after calving) rectal temperature > or = 39.5 degrees C were assigned three groups. group 1 (n 70) received 600 mg ceftiofur intramuscularly (i.m.) on 3 consecutive days. 2 79) an intrauterine antibiotic pills consisting 2500 ampicillin cloxacillin additional 6000 ampicillin. This performed 78) same as 2. In addition, administered i.m. Body recorded daily for d first treatment. There no significant differences among groups regarding clinical cure rates based temperatures declining below 82.9, 84.8, 84.6% 1, 2, 3, respectively. Reproductive performance did not differ significantly between any measures tested. A financial analysis 87 different cost scenarios demonstrated that cattle is effective alternative combination local treatments.
