摘要: Gastro-retentive dosage forms for prolonged delivery of levodopa and carbidopalevodopa combinations are described. The comprise a tablet containing the active ingredient gas-generating agent sealed within an expandable, hydrophilic, water-permeable substantially gas-impermeable membrane. Upon contact with gastric fluid, membrane expands as result release gas from in tablet. expanded is retained stomach period time up to 24 hours or more during which released providing site optimum absorption upper small intestine.
