摘要: Salinity is a major abiotic stress that limits plant growth and productivity. Role of silicon (Si) nutrition arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) in mitigating salt has gained importance recent years. Legumes are sensitive to salinity considered low Si-accumulators. AM have been reported increase Si uptake mycorrhizal plants. However, little known about the alleviative role and/or Cicer arietinum L. (chickpea). Therefore, present study was aimed evaluate individual cumulative effect (Funneliformis mosseae) on nutrient status, productivity tolerant HC 3 CSG 9505 genotypes chickpea under conditions. The were subjected 0, 60, 80,100 mM NaCl 4 mM potassium silicate—K2SiO3 treatments presence absence fungi. results indicated improve endogenous nutrients profile, characteristics yield attributes stress. found be more efficient improving while beneficial K+/Na+ ratio. Mycorrhization mediated significant improvement as result, supplementation along with mycorrhization reduced Na+ content significantly, improved growth, uptake, arrested chlorophyll pigment damage increased RUBISCO activity. responsive than 9505. will contribute our understanding tolerance mechanism for developing resistance
