摘要: The removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from contaminated airstream was studied in a biotrickling filter (BTF) packed with open-pore polyurethane foam as carrier Thiobacillus thioparus (DSMZ5368) counter current gas/liquid flows. effect operating parameters on BTF performance studied. Experiments were performed at different Empty Bed Residence Times (EBRT) 9 to 45 seconds, and initial H2S concentration 25 85 ppm. results showed reasonable the BTF, synthetic gas stream. However, somewhat lower than other studies which either packings or microbial cultures used. liquid recirculation rate (LRR) range 175-525 ml/min (0.46-1.34 m/h) also Results that increasing LRR 175 350 mL/min resulted significant enhancement efficiency, but further increase up 525 had an insignificant effect. elimination heights bed it found decrease EBRT more homogeneous pollutant BTF. Determination species after 100 days during operation only degrading specie thioparus.
