摘要: The use of polymer thin films in technology is increasingly widespread—for example, as protective or lithographic surface coatings, active (electronic optical) elements device architectures. But it difficult to generate mixtures with homogeneous properties, because the tendency polymers phase-separate1,2. Copolymer compatibilizers can induce miscibility blends, but only chemical components that are either close a critical point phase diagram3 which have an attractive interaction between them4,5. Instead manipulating composition blend, we show here complete mixing be obtained blends by physical effect confinement films. compatibilization results from entropic inhibition separation into micelles, owing confinement. result intimately mixed microemulsion perfectly flat and two-dimensional maze-like structure columnar domains extend through film.
