摘要: Among breast cancer subtypes, basal-like is particularly aggressive, and research on the molecules involved in its pathology might contribute to therapy. In this study, we found that expression of NKX6.1, a homeobox transcription factor, higher than other subtypes. loss-of-function experiments cell lines, NKX6.1-depleted cells exhibited reduced growth. Because cytokine interleukin-6 (IL-6) expressed cancer, increases growth, analyzed levels IL6, an IL-6 gene, observed IL6 cells. reporter assay, promoter activity was by loss NKX6.1 function. A pull-down assay showed binds proximal region promoter. These results indicate directly up-regulates expression. To investigate further, established with forced IL-6. We exogenous restored growth Furthermore, orthotopic xenografts lost capacity for tumor formation. therefore conclude factor IL-6-regulated formation cancer. Our findings facilitate profound understanding development suitable
