摘要: Resting lower esophageal sphincter (LES) pressure was assessed in infants and children 2 weeks to 12 years of age. There were 62 control subjects 35 patients with reproducible gastroesophageal reflux (GER) determined radiologically. In without GER: (1) LES well developed by age; (2) less than 1 year age, mean (43.3 ± 2.4 mm Hg) significantly greater (30.6 2.3 older (3) length increased (4) bethanechol 0.1 mg per kg subcutaneously caused a rise that magnitude as resting increased. only 16 had pressures below the normal range for their appropriate age group; shorter values beyond 6 months GER usually occurred absence hiatus hernia; clinical improvement common low associated normal, even presence (5) change an absolute not different from those observed controls. These results indicate is sole determinant GER, pharmacological stimulation could prove be useful adjunct medical management GER.
