MicroRNA-149 suppresses the proliferation and increases the sensitivity of ovarian cancer cells to cisplatin by targeting X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis

摘要: Currently, ovarian cancer is identified as one of the leading causes cancer-associated mortality in females. Despite numerous efforts that were made on developing novel treatments for cancer, survival rate remains unsatisfactory. Considering important regulatory role miRNAs different types present study aims to identify a therapeutic target treatment cancer. The expression miR-149 was detected using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction cancerous and normal cells. Furthermore, effects cell activities investigated MTT assay, colony formation, flow cytometry western blotting analysis. In study, it revealed microRNA (miR)-149 significantly downregulated tissues lines, correlated with patient prognosis. addition, observed forced increased sensitivity cisplatin. Based bioinformatics analysis luciferase X-linked inhibitor apoptosis (XIAP) direct gene It also demonstrated XIAP upregulated while negatively these results ectopic able abolish miR-149-enhanced conclusion, functioned tumor suppressor progression increasing cells cisplatin treatment.
