The fractional power law of wind wave growth in deep water for short fetch

摘要: Combining the 3/2 power law proposed by Toba with significant wave energy balance equation for wind waves, growth in deep water short fetch is investigated. It found that variations of height and period have form function fractional exponents 3/8 1/4 respectively. Using these functions through data fitting, concise relations are obtained.
