摘要: The effects of increased nitrogen influx on Sphagnum growth and interspecific competition between species were studied in a 3-yr experiment mires situated two areas with different rates airborne N deposition. was recorded after various supplementary influxes (0, 1, 3, 5 10 g m −2 yr−1) hummocks lawn communities. biomass production decreased increasing both areas. After the first season at low-deposition site, showed an length intermediate treatment, but second third seasons control treatment had highest length. Capitulum dry mass influx. concentration N/P quotient higher high- than site. low together initial increase supplements, indicates that N-limited this our lowest supplement sufficient to reduce growth. treatments no effect species. This have similar responses N. all occur naturally ombrotrophic, N-poor sites show tolerances Reduced may affect carbon balance, changing from C sinks sources.
