摘要: Introduction The prevalence of disordered gambling worldwide has been estimated at 2.3%. Only a small minority gamblers seek specialist face-to-face treatment, and so need for alternative treatment delivery models that capitalise on advances in communication technology, use self-directed activity can complement existing services identified. As such, the primary aim this study is to evaluate an online cognitive–behavioural programme (GamblingLess: For Life). Methods analysis will be 2-arm, parallel group, pragmatic randomised trial. Participants randomly allocated pure (PSD) or guided (GSD) intervention. both groups asked work through 4 modules GamblingLess over 8 weeks. GSD intervention also receive weekly emails guidance support from counsellor. A total 200 participants recruited. eligible if they reside Australia, are aged 18 years over, have access internet, adequate knowledge English language, seeking help their own problems willing take part associated assessments. Assessments conducted preintervention, 2, 3 12 months preintervention. outcome severity, assessed using Gambling Symptom Assessment Scale. Secondary outcomes include frequency, expenditure, psychological distress, quality life additional help-seeking. Qualitative interviews with subsample Guides (counsellors). Ethics dissemination approved by Deakin University Human Research Eastern Health Committees. Findings disseminated via report, peer-reviewed publications conference presentations.
