摘要: OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the feasibility acceptability and cost of home-based HIV testing to examine applicability model high prevalence settings. METHODS: Quantitative qualitative data were collected during a program in high-prevalence rural area Kenya; on age gender marital status along with test results collected. This was complemented research including key informant interviews counselors managers highlight experiences challenges. Direct costs interventions estimated through review budgets monthly expenditure sheets. RESULTS: Of 3180 15-49-year olds exposed community awareness campaign 2033 (63.9%) agreed be visited by whom 1984 (97.6%) tested receive results. Adult 8.2% married women 4.8 times more likely HIV-positive than those never married. Counselors reported feeling welcomed noted enthusiasm towards testing.
