摘要: DNA fingerprints of 46 human cell lines were derived using minisatellite probes for hypervariable genetic loci. The incidence 121 HaeIII fragments among 33 from unrelated individuals was used to estimate allelic and genotypic frequencies each fragment composite individual fingerprints. We present a quantitative the extent difference between individuals, an based on percentage restriction at which they differ. average percent (APD) pairwise combinations population 76.9%, compared with APD in band sharing same (less than or equal 1.2%). Included this survey nine additional previously implicated as HeLa derivatives, these clearly confirmed such by (APD less 0.6%). On basis tested line population, simple model developed fingerprint population. median 2.9 X 10(-17), range 2.4 10(-21) 6.6 10(-15). This value approximates probability that second selected random will match given fingerprint. Related calculations address chance any two would be identical large group lines. is still very slight; example, more common 1 million distinct .001. procedure provides straightforward, easily interpreted, statistically robust method identification individualization cells.
