摘要: Model aquatic systems incorporating hydrosoil, water, and fish components were used to measure the dynamics of Aroclor 1254 [polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB)] under both flowing static water conditions. PCB desorption from hydrosoils was consistent with adsorption-desorption theory. Under conditions, hydrosoil concentrations 10 500 μg/g produced equilibrium levels 0.13 7.60 μg/litre in water. In continuous flow tests, ranged 0.11 0.54 for 100 PCB. Equilibrium could be predicted conditions distribution coefficient equation. Desorption favored lower-chlorinated, more water-soluble 1254. Fathead minnows allowed direct contact PCB-contaminated accumulated residues at six times rates those screened exposure sediments. Fish selectively bioaccumulated higher chlorinated
