摘要: The ownership structure of Chinese firms has experienced significant changes over the last three decades, including development a fast growing stock market through which large number domestic have become publicly traded corporations. These drawn increasing attention from researchers corporate governance. In this article, we review empirical research on governance in China, with focus internal and external mechanisms that been investigated findings about effectiveness these mechanisms. On basis our 132 studies, summarize major discuss limitation agency theory understanding issue firms. We offer several ideas (e.g., importance social context, new conceptualization governance, different outcomes data/method issues) for agenda to guide future operating other emerging economy contexts.
