摘要: “Acoustic emission” (AE) is the name given to transient stress waves that are generated by crack growth and many other kinds of material degradation deterioration. The phenomenon has been known intuitively since beginnings knowledge, studied scientifically for at least a century. cracking ice snapping twigs commonplace examples. In recent decades, acoustic emission used as nondestructive testing method. A substantial body technique developed allow its application monitoring bridges, pressure vessels, storage tanks, etc. These devices have an amazing sensitivity high-frequency motion. At frequencies most commonly AE testing, 100-300kHz, sensor can give detectable signal surface movements 10-13 m or less, thousand times smaller than size atom.
