摘要: The enhanced sleep, fever, and anorexia experienced during general infections are attributed to the increased production of cytokines. Cytokines such as interleukin-1 tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) have characteristic somnogenic, pyrogenic, anorectic effects. TNF-beta is closely related TNF-alpha, they share common receptors. effects on sleep-wake activity, brain temperature (Tbr), food intake were, however, heretofore unknown. We injected 0.5-200 ng into rabbits intracerebroventricularly (icv) in light period, electroencephalogram, movement, Tbr were recorded for 6 h from rabbits. highest dose, 200 TNF-beta, induced increases non-rapid-eye-movement sleep decreases rapid-eye-movement accompanied with biphasic febrile responses. Icv injection 100 at dark onset suppressed 12-h 24-h rats. These data suggest us that may belong group endogenous pyrogens/sleep factors.
