摘要: Abstract Objective To determine the pharmacodynamic effects of oral ivabradine in cats. Animals Eight healthy, adult domestic short hair Methods Each cat underwent four study periods 24 h, receiving either one dose placebo or (0.1 mg/kg, 0.3 mg/kg, and 0.5 mg/kg) a single-blind randomized crossover study. Clinical tolerance was assessed hourly for first 8 h, at 12 h, end 24-h period. Heart rate blood pressure were monitored continuously 18–24 h via radiotelemetry after each treatment. Response to stress (acoustic startle) studied before (t = 0) treatment (t = 4 h). Statistical comparisons made using linear mixed models 1-way 2-way repeated measures ANOVA. Results (min−1) decreased significantly (P Conclusion These findings indicate that single predictably lowers heart rate, blunts chronotropic response stress, is clinically well tolerated healthy This makes potentially interesting feline disease where ischemia pathophysiologic importance.
