摘要: Abstract Ammonia borane NH3BH3 (AB), in pristine or destabilized state, has been much investigated as a solid-state chemical hydrogen storage material. The potential of such compound for thermolytic dehydrogenation (and decomposition) can be fast and reliably screened assessed by thermogravimetric (TG) analysis via descriptors like both the onset temperature overall weight loss over range 100–200 °C. However, comparisons to results reported open literature need done with caution. objective present article is thus show that properties AB determined TG are dependent on operation conditions. We have observed different obtained changing analyzer, especially crucible (comparable semi-closed reactor one case similar an second case). For example, stable sample able suffer 18.4 wt% starting from 116.5 °C when used, versus 51.9 wt% 91 °C utilization crucible. Our main herein form short technical communication: it aims at sharing our experimental observations order avoid misinterpretation misunderstanding analyses any kind derivatives. work should help comparing data available care and, now on, regarded key study report comparable dehydrogenation.
