摘要: Off-axis parabolic elements have found application in Tera-Hertz imaging and new two-photon microscopy scan engines. Both these applications demand spatial temporal precision photon location. This modelling work examines how close off-axis are to the perfect image relay by calculating geometrical performance metrics of spot diagrams, point spread functions wavefront distortion for different arrangements parabolas a torus when compared close-coupled two mirror engine. Results identify as superior engine particularly wide-field instruments. When within optimum beam size versus parabola focus length ratio, systems is superb.
