摘要: Of all the non-essential heavy metals, cadmium (Cd) is perhaps metal which has attracted most attention in soil science and plant nutrition due to its potential toxicity man, relative mobility soil-plant system. Schroeder Balassa (1963) were among first researchers highlight concern for Cd accumulation food chain, through impurities fertilisers amendments applied soils. Interest soils plants was further stimulated when industrial pollution of agricultural lands Japan with Cd-rich waste waters led serious human health problems (“Itai-itai” disease), documented 1970’s (Kobayashi, 1978; Takeuchi, 1978). This topic will be discussed Chapter 10.
