摘要: To investigate the efficacy of pomegranate (Punica granatum) as an alternative and safe treatment against Hymenolipes nana through experimental study on white laboratory mice. Twenty eight Swiss albino mice naturally infected with nana. Animals were divided into four groups, one group control groups 2-4 fed daily dose 0.5 ml, 1.0 ml 1.5 peel extract (300 mg/kg) respectively, The egg counts per gram (EPG) day before 1, 7, 14, 21 after . All animals then sacrificed under 21. content intestines examined for presence worms counting. Results from current Study revealed that, was lead to reduce eggs output in fecal pellets treated comparing group. In addition, different doses a demonstrated directly proportional reduction EPG count (31.5, 38.6 43.5) respectively. On other hand, number at necropsy decreased (15.6 ±2.6, 8.4 ±2.1 5.7±2.5) (0.5 ml) findings this indicate that Pomegranate has active role treat infection H. due possesses potential anti-cestodal activity.
