摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate wound healing and complications following surgery for fracture neck femur. Seventy-one patients were prospectively divided into two groups, according the method skin closure: group A had clips; B subcuticular vicryl® sutures. There 41 in A, 30 B. 13 males 58 females with an average age 84.3 years (range 67–100 years). Thirty-seven underwent fixation a dynamic hip screw, while 34 undergone either hemi or total arthroplasty. wounds inspected at days 2, 5, 7, 10 14 days, discharge, redness infection. statistically significantly greater amount discharge (P<0.002) (P<0.009) (clips) as compared (vicryl). three cases infection; all where clips been used closure. We concluded that vicryl sutures better than terms well cost. Except some decrease operative time there does not seem be any advantage use
