摘要: Ethnic identity development is a process that occurs for all individuals, and weakness in ethnic associated with numerous psychosocial difficulties. Security can be difficult those exposed to varying attitudes behaviors multicultural society. As such, the current study examined influence of mindfulness self-compassion on development. sample 479 undergraduate students completed online self-report questionnaires measuring demographic information, mindfulness, self-compassion, status, self-esteem. Results suggested are significant negative predictors identity, was better predictor status than mindfulness. Self-compassion did not moderate relationship between as hypothesized. included primarily Caucasian (n = 278) individuals born United States, which likely limited generalizability findings. Implications findings suggestions future research discussed.
