摘要: Forests provide a wide range of ecosystem services from which people benefit, and upon all life depends. However, any rational decision related to the maintenance enhancement multiple functions provided by forests needs be based on objective, reliable information. As such, forest monitoring assessment are rapidly evolving as new information arise or techniques tools become available. Global change issues utilities management distinctively considered, so that inventory mapping broadening their scope towards multipurpose resources surveys. Recent changes in perspective have promoted consideration complex adaptive systems, thereby highlighting need account such approaches actually work: then expected address fully incorporate this at global scale, seeking support planning decisions evidence-based. This contribution provides selected considerations above mentioned issues, form commented discussion with examples literature produced last decade.
