摘要: Abstract This study estimated demand functions for tourism by U.S. residents in Mexico border areas, the Mexican interior, and overseas. There was no evidence that tourists substitute more distant destinations as transportation costs rise. Border is income elastic when share of states held fixed. Tourism interior also elastic. along price elastic, while with respect to overseas prices but inelastic prices. The rise not related factors. Recent devaluations peso are unlikely provide benefits industry.
