摘要: The effect of long-term oral sodium loading on blood pressure and stress-induced cardiovascular response was studied in normotensive marginally hypertensive young adults. 121 subjects, 18-23 years old, included 38 whites 83 blacks. Blood heart rate to the stress mental arithmetic measured before after 14 days load, which consisted 10 g NaCl/day added usual diet. A sodium-sensitive load occurred 18.4% 37.3% Sodium-insensitive subjects had a higher excretion (p less than 0.001). Sodium-sensitive significantly greater weight gain significant correlation between change (r = -0.28, p 0.01) group. high intake did not augment or beta-adrenergic-mediated stimulus population when grouped by pressure, race, sensitivity. These results suggest that increase particularly blacks, is related functional changes peripheral vascular resistance.
