摘要: Abstract The Gram-negative bacterium Pseudomonas sp. OX1, previously known as stutzeri is endowed with a high metabolic versatility. In fact, it able to utilize wide range of toxic organic compounds the only source carbon and energy for growth. It has been recently observed that, while growing on glucose-containing liquid medium, OX1 can reduce azo dyes, ubiquitous pollutants particularly resistant chemical physical degradation, this azoreduction being process generate enough sustain bacterial survival. We have found under these conditions, modifications in primary structure O-specific polysaccharide (OPS) within lipopolysaccharides occur, leading remarkable changes both monosaccharide composition architecture repeating unit, respect produced absence dyes. present paper, we complete polysaccharide, whose unit following: Download full-size image This totally different from one determined grown rich medium.
