摘要: The movements and submergence behaviour of two male green turtles (Chelonia mydas) on their mating grounds at Ascension Island were investigated by satellite telemetry. During the season, males tended to conduct much shorter dives (typically <15 min) than those recorded previously for females during internesting period this rookery. This suggests that throughout season maintained relatively high activity levels, presumably associated with locating as many possible maximise reproductive output. At end residence ground, conducted longer (48 min 21 min, respectively), suggesting they rested before migration away from island. Although very few locations obtained migration, showed migrate South America, has been shown population.
