摘要: Polyploidization plays an important role in speciation and evolution anurans. However, a few stable triploid populations some isolated individuals have been reported. Here, we report the discovery of naturally occurring triploids contact zones between diploid Odontophrynus cordobae tetraploid O. americanus from Central Argentina, propose values erythrocyte area for distinction ploidy levels. A total 101 three were studied each specimen was identified by mean chromosome count size. Twenty adult specimens (males: n=21; females: n=2) two sites (percentage per level: site S2, 2n=40.6%, 3n=12.5%, 4n=46.9%; S3: 2n=44.7%, 3n=40.4%, 4n=14.9%). The limit nuclear used to distinguish different levels 23.62  μ m 2 (probability be assigned respective level = 94.78%) separating diploids 27.67  (98.62%) tetraploids. high number more than one indicates that is not event. further studies are necessary provide hypothesis on origin evaluate possible maintenance syntopy with .
