摘要: Abstract Fertilization success of gametes from the scleractinian coral Goniastrea aspera was used to determine toxic effects trace metals copper, zinc and cadmium. Spawned eggs sperm were collected adult colonies G. dosed separately with different concentrations or cadmium, normal seawater as controls. The then combined allow fertilization occur. After 5 h development time, number fertilized developing embryos unfertilized counted recorded percentage fertilization. Copper most metal, whereas cadmium did not affect at tested. High rates 91% ± 3.2% 93% ± 4.0% in copper controls 2 μg/l respectively. However, significantly reduced 41% ± 7.1% 20
