摘要: This project evaluated various intersection control strategies in a simulated environment and also helped establish live laboratory for use future testing of new strategies. The report reviews major strategies, including the state-of-the-art with adaptive on-line timing generation features. In addition, it details simulation results OPAC strategy. NETSIM simulator created test network that included part downtown Minneapolis. Comparison indicate performs best low-traffic demands, pretimed was most effective during peak periods when traffic demand reached capacity. conjunction this project, Minneapolis city engineers installed machine-vision video detection system at laboratory.
