Regulation of types I, III, and IV procollagen mRNA synthesis in glucocorticoid-mediated intestinal development.

摘要: Administration of dexamethasone (0.8 mg/kg) to 9-day-old rats once daily for 3 consecutive days caused precocious induction adult specific disaccharidase activity in the small intestine. Maturation-specific was accompanied by decreased amounts types I and III collagen procollagen type mRNA levels. Conversely, IV procollagen, fibronectin, laminin their respective levels were increased. In vitro transcription nuclei isolated from intestine colon suckling indicated a rate synthesis mRNAs an increased after treatment. The data suggest that glucocorticoids mediate differential regulation interstitial basement membrane gene expression developing rat
