摘要: We describe the effects of He, Ar and N2 on resonant degenerate four-wave-mixing spectrum NO2. report results obtained using phase-conjugate forward-geometry experimental configurations for various laser intensities bandwidths. find that effect buffer-gas pressure reflectivity laser-induced grating depends critically relative value intensityI to saturation parameterIsat. WhenI ≈Isat signal initially decreases with increasing pressure. However, at pressures above ca. 100 Torr increases. ≪Isat is found increase even lowest studied. These observations do not agree standard model four-wave mixing in gas phase. have investigated source these by employing different polarisation geometries pump probe fields, conclude thermal gratings are responsible observed high This conclusion supported a simple kinetic model.
