摘要: PURPOSE The value of treating prostate cancer has been questioned, and some insist that a survival benefit is demonstrated to justify treatment. Prospective dose-escalation studies with three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy technique have improvement in biochemical freedom from disease local control. We report the outcomes high-dose treatment compared low-dose for disease, distant metastasis, cause-specific survival, overall survival. PATIENTS AND METHODS study design was retrospective, involving pairs matched on independent prognostic variables which each patient treated radiotherapy. Outcomes were two groups patients: Group I: Three-dimensional treatment--296 patients more than 74 Gy stage, grade, prostate-specific antigen level, 296 less Gy. II: treatment--357 stage grade 357 RESULTS Univariate analysis showed dose significant predictor group I II. Multivariate metastasis DISCUSSION These data provide strong support definitive (> Gy) doses can be safely delivered techniques. Various institutions industry must collaborate expand technology allowing use national practice beyond centers technological excellence.
