摘要: INTRODUCTION Ticks (Acari: Ixodida) are vectors of many pathogens i. a: Babesia microti [Bm] and Toxoplasma gondii [Tg]. In Poland, Ixodes ricinus [Ir] is the main vector both pathogens. This tick species transmitted by them a significant threat to human animal health. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY Detection protozoans Bm Tg in ticks collected Tarnogorski district area. MATERIAL AND METHODS The were from vegetation pets spring period their activity on territory district. parasites preserved 70% ethanol. DNA was isolated ammonia method. detected nested-PCR using specific primers for 18S rRNA sequence. To detect commercial kit used. PCR products separated 2% ethidium bromide stained agarose gels visualised under UV light. RESULTS It showed that all belonged Ir. 50.87% 64.91% examined ticks. Co-existence these 36.84% total noted. CONCLUSIONS study high risk exposure studied Ir play an important role transmission this region. Demonstrating percentage animals infected with may indicate pathogen, but it requires further studies.
