摘要: OBJECTIVE: We evaluated the usefulness of recently introduced TDx FLM assay in determining fetal lung maturity. STUDY DESIGN: The was compared with lecithin/sphingomyelin ratio, foam stability index. and presence phosphatidylglycerol amniotic fluid samples from 102 pregnancies, among which respiratory distress syndrome developed 22 infants. RESULTS: met or exceeded results other tests respect to sensitivity (100% vs 86% 100%). specificity (82% 38% 78%). predictive value a mature test result 95% 100%), an immature (61% 31% 51%), efficiency (86% 51% 79%). In sequential testing strategy performed well as initial test. Our data indicate that for maturity suggested by manufacturer may be more conservative than necessary. CONCLUSIONS: appears useful field testing.
