摘要: The oxidative stress induced by photodynamic therapy using the phthalocyanine Pc 4 (PDT) can lead to apoptosis, and is accompanied photodamage Bcl-2 accumulation of de novo ceramide. Similar PDT, inducer inhibitor HA14-1 triggers apoptosis. To test specificity ceramide response, Jurkat cells were exposed an equitoxic dose HA14-1. Unlike did not induce ceramide, although levels sphingomyelin, phosphatidylserine phosphatidylethanolamine below control values after either treatment. In contrast (i) transient inhibition serine palmitoyltransferase was associated with initial decrease in (ii) HA14-1-initiated sphingomyelin synthase glucosylceramide result These results show that response PDT another pro-apoptotic stimulus, may be unique as described here.
