摘要: The transcription factor Pax6 is an important regulator of development and cell differentiation in various organs. Thus, was shown to promote neural the cerebral cortex spinal cord, control pancreatic endocrine genesis. However, role distinct cells adult pancreas has not been addressed. We report conditional inactivation insulin glucagon producing mouse pancreas. In absence Pax6, beta- alpha-cells lose their molecular maturation characteristics. Our findings provide strong evidence that responsible for beta-, alpha-cells, but delta-, PP-cells. Moreover, lineage-tracing experiments demonstrate Pax6-deficient are shunted towards ghrelin marked cells, sustaining idea may represent a marker maturation.
