摘要: There is a potential for isotropic tomographic models to be biased by ignored anisotropy; anisotropy could mapped as artificial velocity perturbations. We investigate the distribution and strength of this bias three S based on regional Rayleigh waveforms. use observed SKS delay times fast-axis orientations compute equivalent perturbations each wave path used models. These synthetic are then combined into three-dimensional model which reflects in actual model. quantify anisotropic find that it indeed exists investigated here. This gets weaker with increasing depth material, compared anomalies typically interpreted tomographers, from small.
