摘要: Abstract OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to assess the factors associated with acceptance HIV testing during pregnancy on part women receiving prenatal care at public clinics. METHODS: Trained interviewers recruited and interviewed 1,357 clinics in Florida, Connecticut, New York City. RESULTS: Eighty-six percent participants reported having been tested or signed a consent form be tested. Acceptance found related strong beliefs about benefits testing, knowledge vertical transmission, perceived provider endorsement social support. Women who declined said they did so because not perceive themselves risk for (21%) faced administrative difficulties (16%) some aspect process (for example, scheduling, limited availability pre-test counselors). CONCLUSIONS: rates can increased when understand modes transmission role medication regimens preventing transmission; believe that identification promote health mother child; their providers as strongly endorsing testing. These points woven into brief counseling message made routine component care.
