Soil contamination with Toxocara spp. eggs in the public parks of Isfahan City, Central Iran

摘要: Abstract Objective To evaluate the contamination rate of public parks Isfahan city with Toxocara spp. eggs. Methods A total 140 soil samples were collected from 28 City, Central Iran, during summer 2014. Soil investigated for presence eggs by flotation method using sucrose solution. The prepared wet mount slides examined under light microscope 10× and 40× objectives. Results found in 21 (75%) out studied parks. Also observed 40 (28.6%) samples. Conclusions Contamination is fairly high. a that has lots gardens. stray dogs cats roam around contaminate soil. Therefore preventive measures, especially children, should be implemented.
