摘要: This study was undertaken to examine the interrelationships of several seed vigor traits in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) through path-coefficient analysis, determine broad-sense heritability, and estimate genetic advance under selection. Germination rate (R50), germination uniformity, percentage normal seedling, seedling dry weight, water content, electrical conductivity leachate (membrane integrity), reserve utilization ratio (fraction mobilized reserves) efficiency (conversion 15 genotypes from Caspian Sea coast Iran were used for analyses. The exhibited significant differences all traits, except content. Genetic correlations among R50, uniformity weight not significant, showing that selection any them might be possible without hampering other traits. However, analysis indicated improvement fraction conversion reserves would have no beneficial effect on since it compensated by indirect negative effects via weight. Moderate high estimates coefficient variation expected obtained membrane integrity, indicating possibility improving these For successful long-term improvement, crossing programs between studied here parts country or overseas necessary.
