摘要: Abstract A mountainous plot located in the interior of Valencia region (east coast Iberian Peninsula) was identified for reforestation using fog-water collection potential prevailing area. Fog data were obtained by means an instrument ensemble consisting a passive cylindrical collector, rain gauge, wind direction and velocity sensor temperature humidity probe. Preliminary results gave rise to additional deployment low-cost 18-m 2 flat-panel collector connected three 1000-l tanks larger scale storage. The 2007 annual rate fog water that could be derived from amounted 3.3 l/m /day, which turn out fill up storage completely only 5 months, even though not operative 100% time. study made use situ stored micro-irrigation network irrigate seedlings through small pulses localized deep planting hole during summer dry period. Until present, this forest location had always shown difficult self-recovery due high level land degradation resulting recurrent fires past. Results indicate survival rates seedling performance two species planted, Pinus pinaster Quercus ilex , improved with timely waterings treatments composted biosolid.
