摘要: OBJECTIVE To test the hypothesis that antihypertensive drug therapy produces anti-inflammatory effects in clinical practice, this study investigated circulating levels of selected proinflammatory mediators (interleukin-6 [IL-6], tumor necrosis factor-alpha [TNF-α], and interferon-γ [INF-γ]) response to multivariate directions for blood pressure (BP) control. METHODS Prospective involving 110 hypertensive, community-dwelling older women with different metabolic disorders. A short-term BP-lowering was conducted according current Brazilian guidelines on hypertension, basal cytokine were measured before after intervention. RESULTS Interventions found represent hypertension-management practices Brazil corresponded a significant reduction systolic diastolic BP whole-group analysis, as well when users nonusers most common therapeutic classes considered separately. Considering all patients, mean IL-6 TNF-α showed decrease concentrations (P<0.01) at endpoint compared baseline, whereas INF-γ level not significantly from baseline values. In separate analyses, only antagonists renin-angiotensin system diuretics exhibited same treatment-induced serum observed whole group. CONCLUSION Our data demonstrates clinically guided treatment is effective reversing low-grade state cytokines postmenopausal support extracardiac benefits antagonists.
