摘要: AbstractThe dot map is a long-established method for representing population distribution. The preparation of maps by both manual and computer-assisted means examined; together with the availability suitable Census data compilation at medium scale. A more detailed account given methods used in compiling 1971 Portsmouth area, as supplement to Atlas Portsmouth. Some possibilities using basis computer-drawn density are considered.
